The Smart Tech & Longevity Alliance (STLA) is an international initiative of the ARSR Foundation connecting AI, longevity science, smart materials, wearable technology and real-world human experience.

Our goal is simple:

Move longevity technology out of laboratories — and into everyday life.

We bring together researchers, technology developers, smart-textile innovators, designers and real people to explore how intelligent wearables can help us understand our bodies, preserve independence and extend healthy, active life.

The next generation of wearable technology will not necessarily look like technology.

Sensors can disappear into fabrics.

Smart materials can respond to the body and environment.

AI can interpret continuous physiological signals.

Clothing itself can become an interface between the human body and intelligent technology.

STLA explores the integration of biometric sensing into comfortable, functional and beautiful everyday apparel.

The objective is not simply to collect more data.

It is to turn information into something a person can actually use.

Biometric data becomes valuable when it helps a person understand what is happening inside their own body.

STLA explores AI systems capable of recognizing patterns, identifying meaningful changes and translating complex biological information into understandable personal insights.

We believe this technology should work for the individual — not the other way around.

Privacy, transparency and human autonomy are therefore fundamental principles of the Alliance.

A technology can perform beautifully in a laboratory and still fail in everyday life.

That is why STLA is developing a Living Lab model in Greater Vancouver.

The concept brings researchers, technology developers and real users together to test emerging wearable technologies in real environments.

How does a smart garment feel after several hours?

Does the sensor work while someone walks, exercises or travels?

Can an older adult understand the information it provides?

Would someone actually want to wear it?

Real technology needs real humans.

Living Labs can provide the missing bridge between research, prototype development and practical adoption.

TIME TRAVELER FASHION SHOW

Don't Tell Us About the Future. Wear It.

The Time Traveler Fashion Show transforms emerging technology into a live human experience.

Part runway, part technology showcase and part interactive experiment, the event invites designers, engineers, researchers, innovators and participants to imagine:

What will humans wear 10, 20 or 50 years from now?

Smart fabrics.

• Biometric second skins.

• Adaptive materials.

• Wearable AI.

• Health-monitoring garments.

• Responsive fashion.

• Experimental designs that may not yet have a category.
